Large amounts of rising fish have been reported over the last week. These are being targeted successfully with a short leader – floating line and lightweight buzzers. The fish are pretty well spread out over the loch and when not rising are best fished for by the usual favourite methods for this time of year. Floating and sink tip lines with buzzers; diawl bach; hare’s lug nymphs; PTNs and the usual mix of lures and boobies.
Several Angling Clubs had very successful outings - one on an evening session – 23 fish for 56lbs; John O’Hara and partner had 8 fish for 20lbs; Falkirk FC had 32 fish for 88lbs; SSEB AC had 47 fish for 108lbs; Bridge Inn AC had 58 fish for 107lbs, including three browns to 4lb. On Sunday three fish over 6lbs were reported as well as a good sprinkling of Blues and Browns.
