Trout Catch Report by Ricky Wilson 26th August 2018

Updated: Sep 16, 2018

Fishing on the loch has been pretty quiet over the last fortnight. Those anglers who did venture out experienced varying conditions ranging from heavy rain, strong winds and poor water colour. However that did not stop them from recording some good catches. Balbeggie AC catching 21 fish for almost 60lbs. Barrys AC managing nine fish for 24½lbs and Scottish Fire & Rescue had 21 fish for 55¼lbs including one at 4lbs. Most fish were taken mainly on black and green cormorants, diawl bachs and orange or sunburst blobs using floating line.

With the recent improvement in the water colour and weekend bookings beginning to increase we are expecting to see catch numbers improve to reflect the high percentage of fish which have been stocked recently.
