Hi fellow anglers, some great catches since last Monday
There have been 43 boats out in the past week with 60 rods, 61 fish were kept, weighing 177lbs, and 184 fish were returned. The best tactics were floating, midge tip and di3 lines using buzzers, blobs, diawl bachs, cormorants and black/green lures.
On Monday 4th we had a quiet day; however, Tuesday Alan and Brian Tennant returned 5 rainbows. On Wednesday Ali Fyvie had a good day returning 5 fish.
Anglers had a very good day on Friday – North Berwick AC 17 for 47lbs and returned 20, Andy Forbes with 5 rods in 3 boats kept 14 rainbows for 39lbs. Robin Smith out on his own kept 1 fish for 3lbs and returned 2. I McDougall and J McLean returned 4 fish. G Dunn with J Mackie returned 8 to the loch while Ian Dobbie returned 16 fish. Nigel Muckle and his boat partner returned 24 trout. Mr Reid kept 1 for 6lbs and returned 4. George Pellini returned 10 rainbows, Anglers out on Saturday included Eye Water AC who kept 21 for 63lbs including a fine rainbow at 4lbs – see photo.
Bank of Scotland Glasgow District AC with six anglers kept 3 for 8lbs 2oz, they also returned 10. Mr Christie kept 4 fish for 11 lbs.
Sunday Leslie and Glenrothes had an enjoyable day with their 8 anglers returning 38 fish into the loch, some fine specimens were caught – see their post on our Facebook page. Jimmy Russell with Ian Dobbie returned 18 rainbows. Marty Neilson and Mark Lawton out on their own returned 9 and 2 fish respectively. Alister Golding fishing from the bank returned 9 fish.
