Linlithgow Loch Catch Report - 23/06/19

The holiday season has now started and for this reason we should have some weekend boats available for the next couple of months.  The weather last week was a bit mixed but it was perfectly good fishing conditions.  We have a bit of summer weed round the margins but the water clarity is very good.  It is, at the moment, the clearest its been for many years.

Last Saturday (15th) we had the Wiremill AC out and they had quite a good day keeping 24 fish for 68lbs with best flies of FABS, buzzers, boobies and damsels.  Gilmerton Fly Fishers kept 19 for 58lbs plus seven returned again on damsels and buzzers.   Hedgehogs with one boat kept two fish for 6lbs.

Sunday was a quiet day.   Four anglers from Rainbow Warriors kept 11 fish for 30lbs and returned four on catch and release.   Charlie Grosvenor returned three on catch and release.

On Monday, Allan Stewart had a fine limit of three fish for 9lbs.  Evening rods Donald Williamson and boat partner kept six fish for 20lbs on buzzers and diawl bachs and Messrs Dunn and Tennant returned five including a rainbow of around 6lbs.

The loch was closed on Tuesday for the Marches with Linlithgow AC having their traditional outing the day after.  I fear there must have been a few hangovers lingering as the bag was eight fish for 23lbs.   On the same day Mr Wilanski kept two fine fish for 6lbs.

We continue to stock weekly.

We are now offering four-hour sessions at £15 for catch and release and £20 for a two fish kill ticket. Weekend boats are also available. Evening sessions are now available till end of August.

To book either phone the loch directly at 01506 671753 or book on our Bookings page to ensure you are not disappointed.
