Overview of Fishing Conditions
During the week, we had a total of 35 rods on the water. Anglers managed to catch 26 fish, with 5 kept and 21 released. The total weight of the kept fish was 13½ lbs.
The weather conditions were challenging. We experienced brilliant sunshine and algae blooms, which made fishing difficult. Despite the presence of plenty of fish activity, these conditions led to fewer catches than expected.
Best Tactics for Success at Linlithgow Loch Fishery
To improve your chances of landing a fish, we found that using Floating, Midge-Tip, Sink-Tip, and Di3 lines with lures featuring UV elements proved to be effective.

Use the Right Equipment: Consider using lightweight rods and reels. This makes casting and reeling in easier.
Bring a Buddy: Having a friend or family member with you can make the experience more enjoyable. They can assist with tackle and help you navigate the fishing area.
