Over the week, 20 boats and 29 anglers were out; 13 fish weighing 37 lbs were kept, and 63 fish were returned. The successful setups included floating lines, Midge-tip with blobs and buzzers, Diawl Bachs, black and green lures, and dries.


The best catches for the week using the right tactics were by.


Monday to Friday:

George Mackintosh with Ian McLaren kept 4 fish weighing 12 lbs; George Peline released 8 trout; Ali Fyvie with George Mackintosh kept 4 fish for 11½ lbs and returned 1 - see photo of his 2 best for 8.5 lbs;

Chris Stonely netted a cracking Rainbow weighing 5½ lbs; Alastair Wells and his boat partner returned 6 trout; Gavin Dunn out with Jimmy Russell returned 10 fish; Robin Smith with George Mackintosh kept 2 fish for 6 lbs and released 3; Ian Dobbie returned 10 fish.


Saturday: A quiet day due to the heavy rain.


Sunday: Jimmy Russell out with his son James returned 4 fish; Ian Dobbie released 5 trout; Mark Lawton returned 3 fish.
