Linlithgow Loch Catch Report – 21/04/2025 –27/04/2025

Over the week, 59 boats and 103 anglers were out; 30 fish weighing 80¾ lbs were kept, and 242 fish were returned. The successful set-ups used floating, Midge-tip with blobs/fabs(orange), buzzers, especially vicars, Diawl Bachs, muskins, lures and dries.
The best catches for the week using the right tactics were by;
Monday: Mr Laird and his boat partner returned 11 fish, and Dougie Skedd returned 5 trout, all taken on a size 16 shuttlecock.
Tuesday: Graham Hoggan released 5 fish as did Robin Lambert with Gavin Dunn.
Wednesday: Stuart Penman and Chums kept 6 trout weighing 18 lbs; Chris Stonely and partner kept 4 trout for 11 lbs, and returned 2.
Thursday: The fish were really on the feed: George Pelini released 17 Rainbows; Mike Boyle with his partner returned 18 fish.
On Friday Nigel Muckle out with his brother returned 11 fish; Gavin Dunn with Jimmy Russell released 17 trout; Charlie McGrath returned 13 Rainbows.
Saturday: Dunfermline Rusty Nail AC out with five boats released 29 fish; Mark Lawton and Alan Brown returned 8 in their 4-hour session; Linlithgow Rose AC kept 1 fish and returned 5; Alan McGregor released 5 trout, caught mostly on dries; Mr Bathgate out with his son managed to release 4 fish; Stuart Sneddon had a great day releasing 11 trout, 7 on dries.
Sunday: Ferry Fly Fishers’ six anglers released 5 fish; Kelso AC out in ten boats returned 38 trout while Ken Wood and his partner kept 7 fish for 17 lbs and released 11.
