Linlithgow Loch Fishery, Catch Report – 29/07/2024 –04/08/2024

Over the week, there were 13 boats out with 26 anglers, 11 fish were kept, weighing 36¼ Lbs, and 31 fish were returned.

The best catch for the week using the right tactics was by;

Ali Fyvie with George Mackintosh kept 2 trout weighing 8Lbs and returned 7 using Di5 lines with black/green lures – see George’s photo.

Linlithgow AC with 2 boats on an evening session kept 2 fish for 6¼ Lbs.

Jimmy Russell fishing solo returned 4 Rainbows while George Mackintosh with Robin Smith returned 3.

Wader AC’s out in 2 boats had a mixed day – 1 boat had 7 fish weighing 22 ¼ Lbs and returned 9 mostly by Douglas Gribble; tactics being a Di5 with a black Tadpole, the other boat didn’t manage to get anything to the net.

Alan McGregor with his boat partner returned 4 trout into the Loch using a Di5 line with Ace of Spades, Black Mamba and a Yellow Dancer. Alan reckons some of his recent catches were 4 – 5 Lbs. Ali Fyvie out with Jimmy Russell returned 4 trout again using a Di5 line with Yellow Dancers.
