Linlithgow Loch Catch Report – 30/06/2025 –06/07/2025

Over the week, 21 boats and 24 anglers were out; 11 fish weighing 36 lbs were kept, and 37 fish were returned.


The successful setups are still floating and Di3 lines with blobs/fabs, buzzers/muskins, Diawl Bachs, snakes, and dries.


The best catches for the week using the right tactics were by.


Monday to Friday:

Alistair Wells returned 9 fish, Drew Lamb released 3, George Peline released 4, Tam Easton returned 4 trout within his 4 hour session all taken on dry flies. A few anglers braved the gusty winds on Friday but came in at lunchtime due to the gusts getting stronger, Alistair Wells managed to keep 1 trout for 2½ lbs.


Saturday: Ronnie Smith and Graham Thustain had a good day; Ronnie bagged 3 fish for 9 lbs 6 oz taken on Shipman’s and Graham bagged up with 4 fish weighing 15 lbs 10 oz his heaviest was 5 lbs 6 oz using Floating and Di3 lines with various nymph patterns – see photo.

Sunday: Jimmy Russell and Gavin Dunn released 11 fish; Alan McGregor returned 4 trout.
