Quiet weekdays with anglers not wanting to brave the weather and winds on the Loch, the weekend was busier with anglers and clubs catching with Di3, Di5 and Di7 lines (Sweep lines included) using boobies, cormorants, black/green lures, mini leeches and snakes, some anglers were catching on M/Tips with blood worm, blobs and crunchers.

There were 18 boats out over those days with 35 rods, 32 fish were kept, weighing 86¼ lbs, and 11 fish were returned.

On Saturday Waders AC with 2 boats kept 4 fish weighing 12 ¼ Lbs, dropping 7 fish. Leslie and Glenrothes AC’s 4 anglers kept 4 Rainbows for 10 Lbs and returned 6 while Pencaitland AC out with 6 boats kept 7 fish weighing 22½ Lbs.

Sunday saw Cupar AC out with 7 anglers keeping 17 trout for 41½ Lbs, returning 1 and dropping a good number of fish. Marty Nelson returned 2, Jimmy Russell and Gavin Dunn returned 2 Rainbows and reckoned they dropped around 7 fish, Alan McGregor didn’t net any of the 4 fish he hooked up with.
