Overall weekly summary for Linlithgow Loch Fishery catch report 22/06/2026–28/06/2026


Total rods out: 20. Total fish caught, 95 (66 kept, 29 released). Total weight of kept fish: 89 lbs.

Weather conditions: Very warm days with a changing wind.

Best tactics: Using Floating, Di3 and Di5 lines. With the water being warmer than normal the fish are deeper in the water column.

Flies used:

The most effective flies for the week included: Buzzers, Dries, black lures and various small nymphs.

Best catches:

Monday to Friday

Mr Graham returned 3 trout; Mick Tarvit kept 3 fish for 9 Lbs; Andrew Gillespie released 5 Rainbow trout, he had two weighing 7 lbs - see photo,

and one over 10 lbs; Ian Dobbie returned 10 fish; Robin Smith with George Mackintosh kept 2 trout for 7 lbs.


Saturday

Butcher Boy AC out with 7 boats kept 17 fish weighing 55 lbs (one at 4 lbs, one at 5 lbs – see photo

and one weighing 6 lbs 3 oz). They also returned 6 fish.


Sunday:

Ian Dobbie out again managed to net and release 2 trout.

Linlithgow Loch is restocked regularly, with updates posted on the fishery's Facebook page.

Boats are available for either a full-day or four-hour session. Booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Call 01506 671753 or book online.
