Successful lines for the week were Floating, M/tip, Intermediate. Flies taking the most fish were Fabs, Buzzers / Muskins, black/green Lures, Cats, Cormorants, Damsels, Fabs / Blobs and Dries / Top Hats. The Loch water is still noticeably clear at present.
There were 68 boats out over those days with 122 rods, 136 fish were kept, weighing 346 lbs, and 197 fish were returned.
Out on Monday, Mick Tarvitt and partner kept 8 for 18 lbs. Out on their own Ron Thomson kept 1 weighing 4½ lbs while Mr Brogan kept 2 weighing 5 lbs. Bank anglers Alistair Golding and Murphy returned 5 fish plus 2 Pike - see photo of his best catch
Out on Tuesday, Single anglers Mr Bell, Fyvie, Conway and Graham all got fish to their net, Mr Graham doing the best with 4 returned into the Loch.
On Wednesday, Invicta Ladies AC’s 8 anglers kept 14 fish weighing 37 lbs. Ali Fyvie returned 2 fish within his 4 hrs, Tam Easton and Gavin Dunn returned 14 fish, Nigel Muckle and his boat partner returned 15 and George Mackintosh fishing on his own returned 4 trout, 3 were 4 lbs in weight - see photos.
Out on a quiet Thursday Donald McKenzie managed 1 to the net weighing 4 lbs, although, he did say he missed and dropped a few fish.
Friday saw Gavin Dunn and Jim Mackie blanking (very unusual for them), Andy Lumsden and partner kept 4 for 14 lbs and returned 4 fish, Robin Smith out with George Mackintosh had a good day returning 14 trout includine a Brown & Rainbow around 5 lbs - see photos
Ian Dobbie returned 5 fish. Evening anglers Balbeggie AC’s 9 anglers kept 19 fish weighing 51 lbs. David Barbour returned 2 while Mr J Innes kept 2 for 5 lbs.
On a busy Saturday Townhill AC with 12 anglers kept 27 for 73 lbs 6 oz and returned 10 fish. Linlithgow Rose AC’s 4 anglers returned 8 Rainbows, Falkirk Fly Dressers Kept 4 fish weighing 11 lbs and returned 20, Wellington AC kept 2 for 7 lbs and returned 11 fish for their 6 anglers. Ian Dobbie out on his own returned 10. George Pollini returned 5 and David Barbour fishing for 4 hrs manage to net and return 3 trout.
Best catches on Sunday went to Rosyth Civil Service with 18 anglers keeping 26 fish weighing in at 68 lbs 6 oz. Perth CSSC out with 6 boats kept 15 for 44 lbs and returned 3 fish. Gavin Dunn with Mark Lawton returned 7 Rainbows, Ali Fyvie returned 43 trout within his 4 hrs, Craig Cowan fishing with Scott McLachlan returned 8, Ian Dobbie and Jimmy Russell returned 14 - see photos
and Trevor Gibson with his boat partner kept 8 fish weighing 26 lbs and returned 8 ( one fish weighed in at 6 lbs – see photo).
